Elizabeth is a highly skilled practitioner, having worked in all aspects of family law and claims against deceased estates. She has also had significant experience in drafting wills and administering deceased estates.
She is a Trust and Estates Practitioner (TEP) which is a respected and sought-after qualification conferred by the worldwide Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Having previously worked in criminal law, civil litigation and personal injury, Elizabeth has an excellent understanding of how other areas of law can impact on her practice areas. It is this kind of experience that serves her clients so well. Not only can she identify all legal issues that may affect a case, she is also sympathetic to the emotionally charged situations in which her clients often find themselves.
Elizabeth is known for being up-front with her clients and giving them realistic assessments of their cases. She is efficient and thorough. Having come from a non-English speaking background, she has great empathy with her clients who speak English as a second language.
But that’s not all.
Elizabeth spent 20 years working in banking and finance. This experience has given her excellent skills in analysing financial statements, invaluable for her areas of practice. Particularly, she understands from a banking perspective how mortgages work, how they are enforced and how financial institutions operate. These skills are of enormous advantage to her clients, especially those who are negotiating a division of property in family law cases.
