Tess practices in the areas of:
Tess graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2015 with a Bachelor of International Studies followed by a Bachelor of Laws. Tess went on to complete her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law and was admitted as a practitioner in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia shortly thereafter. Tess appeared regularly in the Newcastle, Sydney and Parramatta Courts.
In 2020, Tess relocated to South Australia and was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia. Tess has worked predominantly in the area of Family Law since her admission to practice. Prior to her admission, Tess gained valuable legal experience working in the South Australian Parliament.
Tess has extensive experience in Family Law, having acted in parenting matters involving serious issues of risk, alienation and allegations of abuse. Tess is also highly experienced in complex property and financial settlements along with spousal maintenance applications. She regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and is motivated to achieve the best outcome for her clients. Tess works hard to settle matters through negotiation and mediation, and where litigation is necessary, Tess is a strong advocate and guides her clients through what can be a confusing and overwhelming legal system.
In addition to her Family Law experience, Tess is experienced in Criminal and Traffic matters and regularly appears in the Magistrates Court of South Australia.
